Reception at Cliff Lane consists of two classes - Minnows and Tadpoles (you will notice when you join us that all of our classes have an 'eco' theme!)
Early learning opportunities are central to the provision we offer at Cliff Lane. We value each child's individuality and autonomy and hope to let this shine through their learning. We have a 'child initiated' approach to learning, which means every learning experience is unique to each individual child. To support this pedagogy, we provide enabling indoor and outdoor environments to enhance all learning opportunities.
Some of our key values for Reception include:
The importance of early literacy, numeracy and oracy skills.
Our partnership with parents and carers (we use the online platform, Tapestry)
Difference and diversity
Our school promise - Do it right, do it well, do it!
