Year 2

Hello! Welcome to Year 2. Year 2 consists of two classes: Otters with Mrs Williams and Ms Rose and Badgers with Miss Loveridge and Miss Anderson. In Year 2, we learn exciting new skills and knowledge whilst having lots of fun. We enjoy a range of opportunities and value diversity.

During the Summer term, we will begin by focusing on Earth Day; looking at the impact on our planet. We will then move onto looking at Monarchs; with a focus on the Victorian Era. 

We will conclude the Summer term by learning about The Minpins and The Great Fire of London, but we always listen to the interests of the children, so this may be subject to change.

 In our Science lessons, we will explore plants and animals including humans.

 If anyone has any special talents, or would like to come in to chat about their job, please let us know, we love visitors!

Finally, this is a very important time for your child, please encourage them to work hard and ‘Do it right, Do it well, Do it!’ 

We would love you to join in the fun at home, by using TT Rockstars with your child; an online, exciting way to learn times tables. We would like you to check Google Classroom for home learning opportunities and please share your experiences with us; we would love to give the children ownership of not only their learning, but their out of school experiences, too.
