In the Summer term of 2023, pupils in Year 6 will be required to take part in the Key Stage 2 Statutory Assessments (SATs). At the end of Year 6, children will be required to take assessments in:
Reading
Grammar, punctuation and spelling (GPS, spelling)
Maths (arithmetic, reasoning 2, reasoning 3)
These tests are marked externally and the children will receive a scaled score result for each subject.
In addition to this, children will be given a grade for science and English writing. These will be awarded through a teacher judgement based on the Teacher Assessment Framework (sometimes known as TAFs)
All final assessments for science and English writing are agreed by the teacher, through teacher judgement, after a school moderation process.
