Reception

Hello! Welcome to Reception at Cliff Lane. Reception is made up of two classes: Minnows with Miss Lloyd and Tadpoles with Mrs Montgomery.

After an exciting first two terms in Reception, we are experts in leading our own learning. In Minnows and Tadpoles we ‘Do it right, do it well, do it!’

This term, we will continue to structure our learning around our own interests. In addition to this, we will also explore some predictable themes, such as the seaside, seasonal change and growth and keeping ourselves safe.

We will be focusing on shape, space and measure in maths and will begin Phase 4 phonics. We will also consolidate our prior learning from Phase 2 and 3.

Supporting your child at home:

• Please read with your child 5 times a week.

• Explore the phonics and maths home learning sheets shared on Tapestry.

• Engage with your child’s achievements at school and share those at home via Tapestry.
